- Full Bleed or Bleed Printing: Bleed is a printing term that refers to printing that goes beyond the edge of the sheet before trimming. In other words, the bleed is the area to be trimmed off. It is very difficult to print exactly to the edge of the paper, and most printers cannot do it. Therefore to avoid a white margin on the edge of the finished product, any background images or fills should be extended 1/8″ to 1/4″ past the edge of the finished product. More…
